February’s Social Hour was met with sub-zero temperatures on top of six inches of snow that didn’t distract a full house of WMMOA members intent on hearing LCDR (Navy Ret) Alex Gavrisheff talk about his experiences as a diver with the Navy’s diving and salvage operations program. His enthusiastic and entertaining presentation enlightened us in the undersea world of Navy operations. Maintenance on ships and submarines and recovery operations around the globe painted a picture of world class recovery capabilities with the camaraderie of a special band of brothers. A great slide presentation highlighting amazing driver equipment and techniques brought into focus a side of the military that few WMMOA members had knowledge of.  This night was a continuation of WMMOA’s goal of sharing unique military skills and experiences in a friendly social atmosphere.
