This year’s event was a great success! And not just because of the final score, (Navy 31 Army 7) but because of the turnout and the great fun and ‘banter’ that was shared. We filled the conference room of the Thunderbird Hotel with 27 excited football fans with tables on each side of the room and ‘neutral ground’ in the middle. Fortunately the Christmas Elf/Acting Referee Dale Stovall kept us all ‘on task’ and only seldom use of our ‘outside voices’ took place. All in all it was a wonderful afternoon with good friends and plenty of good eats. Thanks to our host Thelma Baker for allowing this crazy bunch on premises, and thanks to Steve Rossiter and Mike Schauf for the organization and logistics to make this happen. As the Army fans mumbled as they left the event, “Just wait until Next Year!”
