Thirty Western Montana Military Officers Association members were treated to an enlightening presentation about the political and military environment of the African continent at our April Social Hour. Mr Seth Whitfield, a former Army Ranger and University of Montana graduate who serves as the Director of the US State Department’s Africa Center which supports African Countries’ development projects detailed the training and materiel support provided by his public/private partnership. Seth’s program serves as a counterbalance to Russian and Chinese influence across Africa. WMMOA members received behind the scenes insight into the wide range of cultural and religious issues that challenge this underdeveloped continent. Our thanks to Char Gatlin for coordinating with Seth to give this presentation.
