On Wednesday September 11th at Veterans Rose Garden Park a memorial service was held to remember all those lost in the terrorist attack on America and the first responders and workers who died from the effects of the distruction and recovery. Led by LT Larry Anderson USA, a number of WMMOA members gathered with the community to plant 7000 American Flags (one for each person who died) in front of the Vietnam Memorial and to hear Larry’s sobering comments our the apparent loss of our collective memory on events such as 9/11.
