The USS Montana evening event was a great success and a good finish to the whirlwind three day Montana tour taken by the CO and COB. With stops in Butte, Bozeman, Kalispell and finally Missoula CDR Quimby and ETVCM Baldwin where ready for a relaxed evening. USS Montana Committee Chair Bill Whitsitt led us on a video tour of the 3 year development of the boat and all the work to have her ready for the next phase, Sea Trials. The Skipper and COB briefed all on the crew and their great appreciation for the USS Montana Committee’s work to make the boat feel like a piece of the State. The highlight was the unveiling of the ‘Ships Bell’ a beautiful copy of the original bell from USS Montana CA-13 now in the Adams Center. A great evening for all.
